Ingredients:
½ cup mesquite flavored Liquid Smoke
¼ cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp Lowry's Season All Salt
¼ cup BBP, approx
1 ea. beef brisket (7 to 8 lbs.), trimmed
½ ea. white onion, sliced
Recipe:
Heat oven to 225°F. In a small bowl combine liquid smoke, brown sugar, garlic powder and Lowry’s Season All Salt. Mix well. Line a shallow baking pan with foil leaving enough to wrap brisket and seal later on. Place meat in foil and spread seasoning mixture evenly over meat. Generously sprinkle BBP all over meat. Add onion, close foil securely. Bake for 3 ½ to 4 hours or until meat is cooked through and tender.
Open foil and roll back exposing brisket. Evenly spread 1 cup of Bubba-Q-Sauce on brisket (or your choice of inferior BBQ sauce). Continue baking another 10 minutes. Serve with additional barbecue sauce and tater salad.
